Aptima Hires DCPR for Public Relations Program

Pioneering company raises visibility in emerging area of in human-centered engineering

June 1, 2006 – Washington, DC – Some of today’s most pressing problems in homeland security, war-fighting and healthcare are complex matters that require more than the machines of technology. Aptima, a small Massachusetts company, applies how humans think, act and behave to such challenges as building software to model and disrupt terrorist networks, creating visual information displays for surgical teams to reduce medical errors, and turning video games and simulators into practical training tools for jet pilots and war-fighters.

The newly emerging and increasingly important discipline of human-centered engineering is a fascinating one that Aptima engaged DCPR to help tell.  A small top 50 technology company, opulated by PhDs in cognitive, social and industrial psychology, Aptima’s PR and communications program will include developing and delivering a consistent pipeline of news and content that cite its successes, expertise, contract wins and project deployments.

Program elements will use case studies, press releases, contributed articles, spokesperson program, and media outreach to communicate to its audiences and raise its profile in government, military and commercial sectors.
